Chancellor’s Holiday Message

Happy holidays to each and every member of our Triton family.; In this season of giving thanks, I’d like to share my gratitude for all that you do for UC San Diego. From our founding faculty members who join us at our annual Founders’ Celebration and remain engaged with the campus, to our current faculty, staff and students, to our distinguished alumni, you make UC San Diego extraordinary. You are the reason we are a world-renowned university.

Together, we’ve had an amazing year. More people than ever are taking notice of our accomplishments, thanks in part to an eye-catching national marketing campaign, and in part because of the unifying vision that our strategic plan is creating. The more people know us, the more they wish to join our endeavors, support our work and contribute to our shared success.

Next year, as we roll out and implement the strategic plan we’ve created together, we’ll continue to reach for the goals we’ve set so we can further improve our campus, our community and our world. UC San Diego is already a better place because of your involvement and dedication, and I thank you for shaping UC San Diego’s past, present and future.  Best wishes for a happy holiday season.
