Campus and community members gathered recently at the Student Services Center to welcome UC San Diego’s inaugural Director of the Inter-Tribal Resource Center Elena Hood.  Chancellor Khosla talked about the importance of strengthening ties between the university and our local Native community, and providing resources and programming on campus for our Native students.  He also mentioned the expansion of the Chancellor’s Associates Scholarship to all admitted California students enrolled in federally recognized tribes.  Both the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor Becky Petitt emphasized UC San Diego’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
