The third annual Powwow on the UC San Diego campus drew a crowd of hundreds over the weekend. Community members, students, staff and faculty celebrated Native American culture through a two-day festival of dance, song, food, and arts and crafts. Chancellor Khosla stopped by on Saturday to enjoy the festivities and speak with the event’s participants. This year’s Powwow was held on Warren Field this year to provide more space and parking for the growing campus tradition.
“This annual tradition gives our campus members the opportunity to learn more about the rich culture and history of Native Americans, and strengthens the ties between UC San Diego and our tribal communities.” - Chancellor Khosla
