Chancellor Khosla is committed to improving accessibility and affordability at UC San Diego. He continues to expand the Chancellor’s Associates Scholars Program so even more students with talent and great potential can attend UC San Diego. This year, the scholarship was offered to more than 300 students, including 60 transfer students. A special congratulatory reception was held this weekend for our transfer scholars at the San Diego Hall of Champions. During the program, Chancellor Khosla awarded each scholar with a blue and gold honor cord, explaining that it signifies our pledge to help them throughout their academic career.
The Chancellor’s Associates Scholars program was established three years ago to support local, low-income students from UC San Diego’s three partner high schools. It has since been expanded to include more high-achieving students with financial need and California students enrolled in federally recognized tribes. This year, more than 300 scholarships have been offered.
