Honoring UC San Diego’s History

UC San Diego is celebrating the golden anniversary of the Class of 1968—the first four-year charter class to graduate from our university 50 years ago.  To honor the milestone, a tightknit group of approximately 30 Class of '68 alumni participated in a dedication ceremony of three commemorative plaques at Revelle College – one listing the names of each person enrolled in 1964, one marking the Revelle Oak Tree, and one in front of the Revelle Rocks.  The tree and rocks were gifts from the Class of '68 to the campus.  At the dedication ceremony, Chancellor Khosla thanked the class members for their 50 years of engagement with the university, their continued support of our students, and the initiation of our campus’s innovative and entrepreneurial environment, which still exists today.
