Admiral Yancy, United States Navy, Chancellor Khosla
UC San Diego has a long, fruitful and meaningful history with the U.S. military. In an effort to nurture ongoing partnerships and spark collaboration, Chancellor Khosla hosted the first military leaders’ reception at Geisel House. The Chancellor emphasized the importance of partnership, and how the University is helping support the vision and missions of the military. Following his remarks, Chancellor Khosla invited U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Yancy Lindsey, a new member of the Chancellor’s Community Advisory Board (CCAB), to elaborate on his new role and the opportunities available at UC San Diego specifically for the military community. The event also included an information fair with departments all over campus and UC Health sharing the ways their departments support our active duty and veteran student populations.
