Celebrating 50 years of supporting the university, UC San Diego’s Chancellor’s Associates gathered for a fall celebration last night on campus. Chancellor Khosla thanked the donors for their long-time support and annual leadership gifts that fund the university’s greatest needs. These gifts have a profound impact on UC San Diego, as they fund priorities like student scholarships and endowed chairs to attract and retain globally distinguished faculty. In 2013, Chancellor Khosla established the Chancellor’s Associates Scholars Program, which has continued to expand and provide more students with educational opportunities. This fall, we welcome our most diverse incoming class of students, including 184 new Chancellor's Associates scholars, which nearly doubles the number of scholars on our campus.
