“We need to be an all-inclusive educational system that provides opportunity for all.” – Chancellor Khosla
Dozens of University of California faculty and administrators who play key roles in recruitment and retention of STEM faculty gathered at UC San Diego for a roundtable on the role of contributions to diversity in faculty hiring and academic review. Chancellor Khosla served as the keynote speaker. He addressed the connection between diversity and institutional excellence, and also talked about the importance of embracing diversity to ensure the future success of our country. The meeting was the fourth in a series of five roundtables, sponsored by the UC Advance Paid Program and supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation.
