Visionary thought leaders from around the world and our region are gathering at UC San Diego for a three-day conference, The Atlantic Meets the Pacific, to talk about exciting research and discoveries in science, health and technology.  The acclaimed program brings together several dozen world-class innovators, including UC San Diego faculty, whose specialties range from advances in cancer treatments and longevity research to wireless health and brain mapping.  At last night’s opening session, Chancellor Khosla applauded the organizers, speakers and attendees for addressing complex societal challenges in collaborative and groundbreaking ways.  This is the third annual innovation conference hosted by UC San Diego in partnership with The Atlantic magazine.
