Strategic Plan Progress
In the 10 years since Chancellor Khosla initiated UC San Diego’s first-ever strategic plan, we have embarked on a journey of educational excellence, unprecedented growth and the physical, cultural and intellectual transformation of our top-10 university. This year, we are celebrating our many achievements and refreshing our strategic plan to ensure continued progress toward our vision to be a destination public university that is student centered, research driven, patient dedicated and service oriented.
Chancellor’s Honors
An important function of the Chancellor’s office is recognizing and celebrating those whose remarkable stewardship and commitment support and advance the mission of UC San Diego. Numerous campus, health system, student, faculty, staff and other awards are bestowed annually across our campus, but few carry the prestige and distinction of the Chancellor’s and Revelle Medals.
Revelle Medal
The Revelle Medal is the highest honor given by the Chancellor to a retired or emeriti UC San Diego faculty member.
Chancellor’s Medal
The Chancellor’s Medal is one of the highest honors given by UC San Diego for exceptional service in support of the university’s mission.
Community Advisory Board
The Chancellor’s Office is committed to fostering and strengthening positive relationships with the campus and community organizations. The Chancellor’s Community Advisory Board (CCAB), formerly known as the Board of Overseers, advocates for UC San Diego and advises the Chancellor, with specific emphasis on the university’s role in the community.
The Leadership Cabinet
Advisory to the Chancellor, the 17-member Cabinet provides strategic advice and works collaboratively to achieve the goals of the UC San Diego Strategic Plan.
