Reuniting After 50 Years

Members of the physics graduate class matriculated in 1966 are on campus this week to reconnect with their former classmates and alma mater.  The three-day reunion includes a campus tour, physics faculty talks, a physics lab, lunch with graduate students and a reception with Chancellor Khosla, which took place last night.  The Chancellor welcomed the alumni back to campus and thanked them for being among our first students who helped launch our Physics Department graduate program, which is now ranked the 16th best nationally by U.S. News & World Report.

Chancellor Khosla with UC Santa Cruz Chancellor George Blumenthal, who earned his Ph.D. in physics at UC San Diego.
