“What you will learn here extends beyond the typical high school curriculum, and it will help you to become our next-generation leaders.” – Chancellor Khosla
Chancellor Khosla stopped by the Jacobs School of Engineering to welcome COSMOS students to campus. COSMOS stands for California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science. It is a four-week summer program geared toward entering high school freshmen and exiting high school seniors with demonstrated interest and achievement in math and science. The students live on campus and work alongside UC San Diego’s world-class faculty and researchers. Chancellor Khosla congratulated the students on their selection for the competitive COSMOS program, and encouraged the students to continue their education in STEM fields and to consider UC San Diego as their university of choice.
