Chancellor Khosla joined San Diego educators and community leaders over the weekend to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  As the guest speaker at the Alphi Phi Alpha Educator’s Breakfast at the Joe and Vi Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, the Chancellor talked about the contributions and achievements of Dr. King, the parallels between the American civil rights leader and Ghandi, and how he is committed to continuing both leaders’ fight for justice and equality, including access to education.  The Chancellor shared examples of how UC San Diego is addressing disparities through the Chancellor’s Associates Scholarship and the Black Academic Excellence Initiative.
