"Tonight's speakers highlight one of our top priorities at UC San Diego – to create and disseminate research and discoveries that transform lives and advance the frontiers of knowledge.” – Chancellor Khosla
As part of UC San Diego’s annual Founders’ Celebration, faculty and graduate students at the forefront of their fields gave TEDx-style talks at the Founders’ Symposium. Each speaker addressed the creative approaches they’re taking to solve some of society’s most pressing challenges. Topics ranged from mapping the human brain to enhancing access to education. At the event, Chancellor Khosla commented that UC San Diego is fortunate to be home to some of the world’s leading innovators and scholars in a broad range of disciplines. He also said the symposium speakers were chosen because their research supports priorities that have emerged from our strategic planning process.
