Audrey’s Café is officially open for business in Geisel Library. The café offers food and drinks, and a revamped area for studying and socializing. Before cutting the Seuss-inspired daisy chain to mark the grand opening yesterday, Chancellor Khosla emphasized his support of student-centered initiatives to improve the academic and social experience of students at UC San Diego. The new café is named for Audrey Geisel, who is funding the Geisel Library Revitalization Initiative to transform interior public spaces in the library to meet the evolving needs of patrons.
Students, faculty and staff wrote thank you notes to Audrey Geisel for her generous support and shared what the Library and café mean to them.
Attendees were invited to have their photos taken to commemorate the grand opening.
