With the ribbon-cutting ceremony complete, the newly opened Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute (ACTRI) is now home to researchers at the forefront of their fields, who will translate their innovations into clinical applications that benefit patients.  ACTRI was designed with collaboration in mind, enabling scientists to share ideas and results, and spurring new breakthroughs in therapies, treatments and cures.  During the building’s opening celebration last Friday, Chancellor Khosla thanked Steve and Lisa Altman for their generosity and support, and he called ACTRI an invaluable resource in the battle against some of humanity’s most vexing medical challenges.
