“Thank you for your service and contributions to our campus and community.” – Chancellor Khosla
Members of UC San Diego’s Volunteer50 program are celebrating another successful year. Today, the group held an ice cream social to thank the more than 1,600 individuals and groups who contribute their time and energy to the campus and local organizations, and log their hours on the Volunteer50 website. Chancellor Khosla stopped by to personally thank the participants for supporting the university's mission of service. Volunteer50 connects campus members with volunteer opportunities and showcases the collective impact of UC San Diego volunteers. The program was recognized by the San Diego Food Bank as a 2014 Volunteer Champion.
