Supporting Our Community through the United Way

Chancellor Khosla poses with United Way coordinators and supporters.

The Chancellor’s Office partnered with Housing, Dining & Hospitality to host a fundraising breakfast this morning to support UC San Diego’s 2014 United Way/CHAD Campaign.  Attendees, including Chancellor Khosla, enjoyed bagels, pastries, yogurt parfaits and coffee.  The United Way helps locally based agencies distribute funds and other resources to people in San Diego County.

This year’s campaign supports programs that help children and youth achieve their potential through education initiatives; teach financial self-sufficiency to struggling families and youth; improve community health by providing the homeless with permanent housing and the mental health, medical, and other services they need; and protect children from abuse and neglect.  The United Way campaign continues through Friday, April 11.  To learn more and to make a donation, click here.
