UC San Diego and You made a stop in Washington, D.C. on Monday night. Chancellor Khosla and three faculty members met with alumni, parents and friends in the Dupont Circle neighborhood to share groundbreaking research and other exciting projects happening on campus. The Chancellor recognized the success of UC San Diego alumni and how their achievements positively reflect back on the university. He then talked about the advances we’ve made toward our Strategic Plan goals, including the addition of the Maker Space on campus, the renovation of Geisel Library, our faculty growth plan, and our initiatives to improve graduation rates. The roughly 80 attendees also heard from leading experts in political economy, human memory and climate change research, and learned more about the impact of UC San Diego research on our world.
