Six exceptional members of our UC San Diego faculty, nominated by their academic peers, received the Chancellor’s Associates Faculty Excellence Awards this week for their stellar work and contributions to our university, community and world.  This prestigious award annually recognizes excellence in teaching, research, community service and the performing arts.  Chancellor Khosla recognized each of the honorees by sharing highlights from their nominations, and noted that the foundation of any great academic institution is its faculty.  UC San Diego has a tradition of recruiting top scholars and researchers from around the world and is consistently recognized as one of the best universities in the world.
