Chancellor Khosla is dedicated to broadening the path to college, especially for students from underserved communities.  That is why he created the Chancellor’s Associates Scholarship.  This year, the scholarship was offered to more than 330 students, including 90 transfer students.  Last week, a special congratulatory reception was held for our transfer scholars at the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation in Southeast San Diego.  Vice Chancellor Juan Gonzalez opened the evening by congratulating the students on their admission to UC San Diego and applauding their hard work and dedication.  He then awarded each scholar with a blue and gold honor cord, signifying our pledge to help them throughout their academic career.

Established in 2013, the Chancellor’s Associates Scholarship supports local and high-achieving students from underrepresented communities with financial need.  To date, more than 400 students have received the scholarship.
