Lighting the Way to a Brighter Future

“The Preuss School helps students to reach their full potential, and is a true gem for our students, our campus and our community.” – Chancellor Khosla

The Preuss School is a point of pride on the UC San Diego campus, recently ranked the best high school in San Diego County by U.S. News & World Report.  Established in 1999, it has become a model for success thanks to the rigorous curriculum, dedicated teachers, longer school day and year, and the generous supporters who believe in the school and our students.  Over the weekend, the Preuss School hosted its annual benefit celebration with the theme “Lighting the Way.”

Chancellor Khosla opened the program by talking about the importance of broadening the path to higher education, and expressed his appreciation to the students, teachers and supporters who are transforming lives and communities.  Preuss alumnus Jonathan Wosen, who was the co-valedictorian of his 2009 class, then shared his success story; he is now earning his Ph.D. in immunology, an interest ignited at Preuss.
