Improving the Health of Our Hearts

UC San Diego’s physicians and researchers are at the forefront of fighting heart and vascular diseases, from the bench to the bedside.  To celebrate their successes—and advance their research, education and patient care—physicians, philanthropists and community members united at the 20th annual Heart of San Diego Gala over the weekend.  Proceeds benefit the Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center at UC San Diego Health.  During the event, Chancellor Khosla talked about how the Center is part of an academic health system that is able to bring together experts in a unique way to improve human health.

Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center is the region’s only cardiovascular facility that provides research, services and training in one location.  The state-of-the-art center is recognized for its delivery of innovative medical care.
