Improving the Health and Well-Being of San Diegans

To learn more about the San Ysidro Health Center and UC San Diego’s history with the facility, Chancellor Khosla visited the organization yesterday, along with CEO of the UC San Diego Health System Paul Viviano.  During their visit, they toured the facility and met with several members of the center’s leadership team, and learned more about our School of Medicine’s role in founding the organization. The San Ysidro Health Center began as a voluntary program in 1968 through a partnership with UC San Diego.  Our collaborations have continued throughout the years and, today, the center provides low-cost, high-quality comprehensive healthcare to thousands of residents in the South Bay and Central/Southeastern San Diego.
