Chancellor Welcomes New Students to UC San Diego

Chancellor Khosla hands out cookies to new students on Ridge Walk.

Welcome Week is officially underway at UC San Diego, and Chancellor Khosla was among the first campus leaders to greet our new students at today’s Triton Power Hour.  Thousands of freshmen and transfer students packed RIMAC auditorium for the annual pep rally event, where students won prizes and learned more about UC San Diego Athletics.  The students then headed out to Ridge Walk for the Student Services Fair to check out the booths and activities.  The resource fair provides information on everything from athletics and recreation clubs to academic majors and central service departments.  During the fair, Chancellor Khosla and Interim Vice Chancellor – Student Affairs Alan Houston chatted with the new students and handed out cookies.
