Over the last four years, Chancellor Khosla has increased engagement with—and strengthened the role of—UC San Diego’s advisory boards.  This has led to expanded visibility and advocacy efforts.  Just this week, several members of the Chancellor’s Community Advisory Board were in Sacramento for University of California Day at the State Capitol.  Taking place every other year, UC Day offers the opportunity for campus advocates to meet with state representatives to underscore the importance of higher education.  This week’s meetings focused on state funding for student growth.  The alumni and community advocates provided their unique perspectives on the positive impact of UC graduates on the California workforce.
