UC San Diego students, faculty and staff march in the Martin Luther King Jr. parade.

UC San Diego students, faculty and staff gathered over the long weekend to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. Chancellor Khosla joined hundreds of campus and community members in downtown San Diego to march in the annual parade to honor the civil rights leader.  Khosla also attended the Alpha Phi Alpha Black Educators breakfast the day before.

Strategic Planning Process Continues with Town Hall at Scripps Oceanography

Dozens of faculty, staff and students at Scripps Institution of Oceanography listened to Chancellor Khosla’s presentation about the strategic planning process, and then offered their thoughts on how we can improve and define UC San Diego’s future.  Khosla continues to host Town Hall meetings all over the campus and in the community in order to ensure broad participation in the planning process.  Visit plan.ucsd.edu for more information.

Breaking Ground on Medical Collaboration

Local leaders, including Chancellor Khosla, gathered to officially break ground on the Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute (CTRI).  The new facility will bring together laboratory and clinical researchers in a collaborative search for faster, better ways to treat and cure disease.
