"There is a physical and intellectual transformation happening at UC San Diego." - Chancellor Khosla
UC San Diego continues to host regional celebrations across the country for the Campaign for UC San Diego. Last night, Chancellor Khosla connected with alumni and friends in Washington, D.C. to share how the campus is transforming physically and intellectually. From faculty presentations to renderings of our future campus, participants could immerse themselves in our cutting-edge research and transformation. The next regional celebration is tonight in New York City; last month, celebrations were held in Los Angeles and the Bay Area.
At a special reception last week to welcome UC San Diego’s newest Chancellor’s Associates Scholars to campus, Chancellor Khosla reiterated the university’s commitment to support our students throughout their academic journey. He also pointed out the many faculty and staff in attendance who are here to help our students. The Chancellor created the scholarship in 2013 to improve the pathway for local qualified students to achieve a higher education at UC San Diego. With 206 new scholars this year, more than 600 have now received the scholarship.
