A Holiday Poem from Chancellor Marye Anne Fox
‘Twas the night before exams and across UCSD, Students were cramming, wanting better than a C.
Faculty prepared to put students to the test, and also looked forward to getting some rest.
Our late-night staff ate their first sponsored feast, a much-deserved reward,
to say the least.
The annual staff breakfast was yet again sold out! Buying tickets early is always the best route.
But there’s still a craft fair, even if you can’t eat,
prices, they tell me, are hard to beat.
And thanks to all who’ve helped others this season,
many donated to charity, all for good reason.
You can still help out by clicking right here,
giving a toy to a child will bring such good cheer.
And for those of you who are feeling blue,
UCSD has resources that may help you.
Our counseling services are confidential and free, that’s right, open to everyone for no fee!
You can learn more by clicking your mouse right here, and talk to a pro who will lend a caring ear.
I hope you end the quarter with some fun time away, I’ll see you next year—now go enjoy your holiday!
